Lastly, we have Frontline Gold which is another topical solution that kills fleas, and ticks for dogs and cats. These products last for one month. Simparica Trio comes in packages of 6 where Revolution, Frontline, and Simparica come in packages of 3. Stop in now or visit the website for parasite control! PINK EYE & FOOT ROT SEASON Many ranchers deal with the struggle of pink eye and foot rot over the summer. Not to worry, at the vet clinic we have the medicine, and facilities, to treat the afflicted animals. To treat pink eye, we recommend 300 LA Pro, LA 200, Draxxin, Vetericyn, eye patches, and make sure there is nothing in the eye. Pneu darts can also be used if you are unable to round them up. For prevention, we recommend vaccinating with a pink eye vaccine, we have an autogenous vaccine that has local strains for better protection. For fly control you can use fly spray such as Permectrin II or Ultra Boss, fly tags are also available such as Corathon, Cylence Ultra, or TriZap. For foot rot, we suggest Draxxin or LA 200 or 300 and fence off places with standing water unless it’s their main source of water. ULTRASOUND Here at the clinic or on the farm, we offer ultrasounding for cattle for pregnancy. We can reliably ultrasound between 30 and 110 days along to find the approximate calving date. After 110 days it is not useful as the calf has usually dropped over the pelvis and cannot be measured with the ultrasound. We are also able to sex the fetuses when the cattle are 60-90 days bred. If you are interested contact the clinic to book your dates early! SURGERIES Lastly at the clinic we always offer spays and neuters for dogs and cats. If you schedule an appointment for August, you get $10 off your pets’ surgery!
